Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel Wins “Best Presentation” at Savor the City, Culinary Showcase in Lincoln, Neb.

Lincoln, Neb., September 6, 2016. . . . . The culinary team at The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel, majority owned and managed by Marcus Hotels & Resorts, showcased its expertise at Savor the City, a culinary exhibit put on by the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce August 18, 2016 at the Nebraska Champions Club. The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel was honored for its catering display, winning “Best Presentation.” This marks the second year the hotel’s culinary team received an award, winning “Best in Show” at the 2015 Savor the City event.

Led by banquet chef Emily Hansen, the culinary team provided Chamber members and event attendees with a taste from the hotel’s brilliant event menus. Servings of braised pork with lobster on masa toast were presented in bite-sized dishes, staged on tiered glass shelving in a market-style presentation.

Savor the City spotlights Lincoln’s restaurant and catering businesses and allows guests the chance to sample a variety of delicious food from the best in the city. Both Savor the City awards for “Best Presentation” and “Best in Show” are prominently displayed for guests to view at the hotel’s front desk.
