Hilton Madison Monona Terrace Associates Receive Industry Accolades

Milwaukee, Wis., December 6, 2017. . . . .Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, a nationally recognized hotel owner and management company, today announced several of its associates at the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace in Madison, Wis., were recognized by the hotel and lodging industry.

Skip Harless, general manager of the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace was named “Innkeeper of the Year” by the Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association (WH&LA) at its 2017 Stars of the Industry Awards held November 6, 2017. The award recognizes outstanding leadership and commitment to lodging excellence in the Wisconsin lodging industry and is considered one of WH&LA’s highest honors. Judging criteria include ongoing involvement in WH&LA and the lodging industry, commitment to both the profession and the community, personal and/or property achievements, general leadership abilities and human resource skills.

WH&LA also recognized the hotel’s concierge, Rick Rehfeldt, with the 2017 “Spirit of Hospitality” award. Rehfeldt was among ten non-managerial employees who received the “Spirit of Hospitality” award, which recognizes employees that exceed guest’s expectations, serve as wonderful examples to the rest of their team and help to make the hospitality experience in Wisconsin legendary.

Additionally, Katie Mueller, event manager at the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace, was named one of the “50 Women to Watch” by Hotel Food & Beverage magazine. The honor recognizes property-level associates making a daily impact at their hotels.
